Enter Bizarro Supergirl! But how did she get to Earth and what does she want? The real Supergirl better find out fast, or else there won't be much left of Metropolis to save! And to make things worse, an even bigger threat looms on the horizon with an eye for the Girl of Steel. Collected from SUPERGIRL #53-59 and ANNUAL #2.
Supergirl Bizarrogirl eBook Sterling Gates Jamal Yaseem Igle
This is the last trade collection from Supergirl before the New 52 and contains 3 arcs. (DC cancelled the Good-looking Corpse trade that was supposed to come after this one.)The first and longest arc deals with the trade's title, Bizarrogirl, and the story there accomplishes much in allowing Supergirl to move beyond the events of the War of the Supermen and also helping out Bizarro's cuboid Earth (yep, this is the same one from Superman: Escape From Bizarroworld). The adventure is very fun, full of fights and hilarity (as expected from stories involving Bizarros). Plus, the emotions explored here work well in Supergirl facing her doubts and self-inflicted guilt from the aforementioned war.
The second arc is an entertaining one-shot with the Legion of Superheros (although a different iteration from previous Supergirl trades).
The final arc deals with a seemingly mundane villain, but the context in this final arc finally brings to a closure a previously unresolved thread from earlier Supergirl trades. The resolution will certainly make you smile (at least I did), and if you have been following earlier trades, it will be that much more meaningful.
The artwork is good and thankfully consistent throughout. You know the stories are enticing when you want more after finishing the book. Solid tradeback.

Supergirl Bizarrogirl eBook Sterling Gates Jamal Yaseem Igle Reviews
Not only is the story very strong and fascinating - the artwork is simply amazing!!!! This is a must have for all fans of comics and graphic novels - There is one page of Super Girl looking at a broken mirror and Bizarrogirl is looking at her from the missing pieces of the mirror - stunning!
Collects Supergirl (2005) issues 53-59 and Annual # 2
I haven't read a lot of Supergirl, but so far Sterling Gates is my second favorite author of her tales, behind Peter David. However, his entire run is in one way or another connected to the huge New Krypton crossover, so if you don't have that, Gates' run won't make much sense to you. In this volume, the New Krypton story is over, but Supergirl spends this book blaming herself for what happened during that event. If you plan on ever reading New Krypton, read it first, because this book has spoilers for that event.
Issues 53-57 The Bizarrogirl story - A Bizarro version of Supergirl shows up on Earth and causes mayhem. Eventually we learn that she was sent here by Bizarro to protect her, as Bizarroworld is under attack by an alien threat. Supergirl goes off to Bizarroworld to try to save it.
Annual # 2 - She has an adventure with the rebooted Levitz Legion (she has amnesia of her adventures with the Threeboot Legion Supergirl and the Legion Super-Heroes Strange Visitor from Another Century)
Issues 58-59 Supergirl vs. the Dollmaker. Sort of like the Toyman, except shorter.
This is the fourth and final Gates Supergirl book, and the final issues before the New 52 reboot (issues 60-67 (?)) have not yet been collected.
